space planning, bespoke object installation and directional lighting showcase the permanent collection at its best FRD, in collaboration with GreenhilLi Architects, revitalized the Asian Civilizations Museum through a new master plan and an extension to an existing heritage building. The extension was shortlisted for the 2016 World Architecture Festival's Building of the Year award.

FRD has designed two permanent exhibitions. Chinese Ceramics explores the production techniques, historical uses, and cultural significance of ceramic products throughout Chinese history. Stunning examples of this creative tradition are utilized, including specimens dating back to the Neolithic. Chinese Cultural Scholars celebrates the role of learned men in the course of Chinese history. Their literary, social, and political practices are examined through scholarly tools and artistic depictions of academic practice.

游客流通、后台设施和环境系统以及展览装修、多媒体干预和平面设计都得到了实施。文物展示在定制的箱子和定制的支架中，空间规划和定向照明确保它们吸引参观者的注意力。

Visitor circulation, backstage facilities and environmental systems as well as exhibition fit-out, multimedia interventions and graphic design were all implemented. Artifacts are displayed in custom-made cases and custom-made stands, and space planning and directional lighting ensure they capture the attention of visitors.
