FRD is responsible for developing a master plan to ensure the future of the Carolina Aviation Museum as a sustainable cultural institution. Outlining a thematic framework, all exhibit content is aimed at transforming an existing aviation hangar into an engaging visitor experience. High-end multimedia technology with dramatic lighting and audio-visual displays was used to activate the aircraft, and space planning was carefully managed to ensure visitors flow seamlessly between the monumental artifacts.
Encounter the "Miracle on the Hudson," where visitors are invited to interact with the iconic wreckage and experience the dramatic story first-hand. This is achieved through touchscreen interactions, explanatory graphic panels, displays of artifacts and audio testimonies from passengers on board the flight.
