The main attraction of the fourth edition of the Saxony State Exhibition (July 11-December 31, 2020) focuses on the history of industrialization and its impact on the work and daily life of the region's inhabitants. Its headquarters are in Audi-Bau Zwickau, a former town hall that has been specially converted into a temporary museum.

Through the exhibition tour in 6 chapters, the visitor embarks on a journey through five centuries of Saxon industrial culture in the 2,500 m² exhibition hall. Through more than 500 unique exhibits, it presents a broad cultural and historical panorama: from the legendary mining industry in the Renaissance, to the textile industry that has long been in line with international standards in the 18th and 19th centuries, and through the highly industrialized stage. The Dresden Hygienic Museum in Leiden, curated under the direction of Thomas Spring, presents the catastrophe of World War I and World War II up to East Germany, allows us to understand the present era and opens new horizons Perspective on the future of the Free State of Saxony.
