CPLUS在2023年春季受到泰康美术馆的委托,为其举办的“入世:20世纪以来的中国现当代艺术”展览设计了展陈空间。这座美术馆位于北京国贸CBD核心地带,毗邻中信大厦(又名“中国尊”)等超高层建筑,展览空间分成上下两层,约有2000余平方米。根据场地条件和展陈要求,展览入口设置在了泰康集团大厦东侧裙楼二层,相对独立,可通过电梯直达。而出口处位于一层,旁边即展出了最终单元几件巨作的大厦大堂,通过一条临时通道连接。
CPLUS was commissioned by the Taikang Art Museum in the spring of 2023 to design exhibition space for its "Entering the WTO: Chinese Modern and Contemporary Art Since the 20th Century" exhibition. This art museum is located in the core area of Beijing Guomao CBD, adjacent to super high-rise buildings such as CITIC Tower (also known as "China Zun"). The exhibition space is divided into upper and lower floors, with an area of about 2000 square meters. According to the site conditions and exhibition requirements, the exhibition entrance is located on the second floor of the east podium of Taikang Group Building, which is relatively independent and can be directly accessed by elevator. The exit is located on the first floor, adjacent to the lobby of the building where several masterpieces of the final unit are exhibited, connected by a temporary passage.

为了重新构建展览空间,建筑师充分利用了原始场地内存在的立柱和边角空间,发现了不规则边界与折转的动线所带来的游园乐趣。他们以此为线索重新建构了展览空间。展墙被设计成了巨石的形态,不仅为画作提供了中性背景,还在美术馆内部植入了一个庭院式展厅空间序列,使得单一空间变得丰富有序,为多样化展陈带来更多可能性。
In order to reconstruct the exhibition space, the architect made full use of the columns and corner spaces that existed in the original site, discovering the amusement brought by irregular boundaries and folded flow lines. They used this as a clue to reconstruct the exhibition space. The exhibition wall is designed in the form of a giant stone, providing a neutral background for the paintings and embedding a courtyard style exhibition space sequence inside the art museum, making the single space rich and orderly, bringing more possibilities for diversified exhibitions.


展墙的形态各异,回应了不同的场地竖向条件。二层层高较低,墙体呈弧形或斜向布置,营造出趣味化的展览空间。而首层则较高,使用规整的墙体强调了开阔和庄重的氛围。展墙被刻意加厚,仿佛原始洞穴里布满岩画的巨石,消解了柱子对展厅的干扰,同时底部缩进的设计使其“漂浮”于地面,打破了沉闷气氛。
The forms of exhibition walls vary, responding to different vertical conditions of the site. The second floor is relatively low in height, with walls arranged in an arc or diagonal shape, creating a fun exhibition space. The first floor is higher, and the use of regular walls emphasizes a spacious and solemn atmosphere. The exhibition wall is deliberately thickened, resembling the giant rocks covered in rock paintings in the original cave, eliminating the interference of columns on the exhibition hall. At the same time, the design of the bottom indentation makes it "float" on the ground, breaking the dull atmosphere.

“巨石”展墙划分出的庭院容纳了不同的展览主题单元,串联起一条洄游动线,使得在空间节奏上交替发生由局促到开阔的戏剧性转变。同时,建筑师在各处墙体上开设了形状各异的洞口,与古典园林的空窗、洞门异曲同工,为参观者创造了明暗交替、内外转换的视角体验。
The courtyard divided by the "Giant Stone" exhibition wall accommodates different exhibition theme units, connecting a migratory flow line, causing dramatic transitions from cramped to open in spatial rhythm. At the same time, architects have opened various shaped openings on the walls, which are similar to the empty windows and entrances of classical gardens, creating a visual experience of alternating light and dark, and internal and external transitions for visitors.

除了动静两种观展体验之外,展览空间还为参观者提供了不同的观展方式。作品集中悬挂的墙体上留白形成了巨型框景,对面的长椅为观众提供了停留欣赏的空间。而作品分散陈列的单元里,则需要观众有序挪步,一幅幅画作如同长卷般在眼前展开。这些设计让观展者在艺术作品中自由穿梭,感受到不同的空间氛围和展览情感。
In addition to the two viewing experiences of movement and stillness, the exhibition space also provides visitors with different ways of viewing. The white space left on the wall hanging in the collection of works forms a giant frame scenery, while the bench opposite provides a space for the audience to stay and appreciate. In the units where the works are scattered and displayed, the audience needs to move in an orderly manner, and each painting unfolds like a long scroll before their eyes. These designs allow visitors to freely shuttle through the artwork, experiencing different spatial atmospheres and exhibition emotions.
