南头古城坐落于深圳市南山区,作为历史悠久的文化遗址,其发展历程跨越了近1700年。随着深圳市的改革开放,南头古城不仅保留了历史村镇聚落的空间格局,还融合了产业发展与居住功能,成为了深圳市最具特色的“城中村”。2019年,南头古城保护与利用项目正式启动,这一举措旨在挖掘其悠久的历史文脉,并通过创新设计回应城市更新的时代需求。因此,“同源馆群”的策展与体验设计项目应运而生,由直径叙事设计DND负责。
Nantou Ancient City is located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. As a cultural relic with a long history, its development process spans nearly 1700 years. With the reform and opening up of Shenzhen, Nantou Ancient City not only retains the spatial pattern of historical villages and towns, but also integrates industrial development and residential functions, becoming the most distinctive "urban village" in Shenzhen. In 2019, the Nantou Ancient City Protection and Utilization Project was officially launched, aiming to explore its long historical context and respond to the needs of urban renewal through innovative design. Therefore, the curation and experiential design project of the "Same Source Pavilion Group" has emerged, which is undertaken by DND, a narrative design specialist.

对于“同源”主题的理解是策展工作中的首要挑战。在珠江口地区,“同源”并非指自然地理上的河流或流域的同源,也不是指该地区的族群或文化来自同一个源头。相反,这里的“同源”更多地指向历史文化的交融与孕育。因此,“同源馆群”将“同源”理解为历史文化的渊源,并从“行政同属”、“文化同心”、“经济同体”和“山海同貌”四个视角出发,共同构建对“同源”主题的理解,以展现南头历史叙事的丰富内涵。
Understanding the theme of "homology" is the primary challenge in curatorial work. In the the Pearl River Estuary region, "homology" does not refer to the homology of rivers or basins in physical geography, nor does it mean that the ethnic groups or cultures in the region come from the same source. On the contrary, the term 'same origin' here refers more to the blending and nurturing of historical and cultural heritage. Therefore, the "Tongyuan Pavilion Group" understands "Tongyuan" as the origin of historical and cultural heritage, and from the perspectives of "administrative homogeneity", "cultural unity", "economic unity", and "mountain and sea similarity", jointly constructs an understanding of the theme of "Tongyuan" to showcase the rich connotations of Nantou's historical narrative.

“同源馆群”位于南头古城核心区域的四栋临街建筑中,由三位不同的国内知名建筑师设计,保留了一定的辨识度。与周边商业街的改造不同,这四栋建筑被用作博物馆群的一部分。在策展初期,“同源馆群”的总策展人李德庚强调,街区里的博物馆群应该利用临街的优势和建筑亲近的尺度,创造出让居民和观众体验历史叙事的惊奇感。因此,展览空间的设计考虑了如何将历史叙事转化为观众的体验,以创造出生活中的文化景观。
The 'Same Origin Pavilion Group' is located in the four street facing buildings in the core area of Nantou Ancient City, designed by three different well-known domestic architects, retaining a certain degree of recognition. Unlike the renovation of the surrounding commercial streets, these four buildings are being used as part of a museum complex. In the early stage of curation, Li Degeng, the chief curator of the "Same Origin Museum Group", emphasized that the museum group in the neighborhood should take advantage of its street facing advantages and architectural closeness to create a sense of wonder that allows residents and visitors to experience historical narratives. Therefore, the design of the exhibition space considers how to transform historical narratives into audience experiences, in order to create cultural landscapes in daily life.

“同源馆”作为一个整体主题概念,由若干叙事聚落共同构成,采用了“总—分”式的主题策展。各分馆的策展内容以“渐进式”的叙事结构将具体内容串联,直抵整体主题的核心。由于大多数历史街区的博物馆缺乏文物和藏品支持,因此“同源馆群”通过与不同领域的专家学者合作,对叙述话题进行内容研究与历史文献搜集,并从体验的角度对文本资料进行转译,以创造出艺术化与全景式的体验形式。
As a holistic theme concept, the "Same Origin Pavilion" is composed of several narrative settlements and adopts a "general sub" thematic curation approach. The curatorial content of each branch is linked together in a "progressive" narrative structure, directly reaching the core of the overall theme. Due to the lack of cultural relics and collections support in most historical districts, the "Same Origin Museum Group" collaborates with experts and scholars from different fields to conduct content research and historical literature collection on narrative topics, and translates textual materials from an experiential perspective to create artistic and panoramic experiential forms.

展馆空间受限于南头古城民居的格局,面积与挑高有限制。因此,针对不同展馆建筑的结构与位置特点,制定了相应的空间体验策略。例如,利用山海同貌分馆的临街落地窗和艺术装置创造街区内的“奇观”,连接南头古城中最密集的人群。而文化同心分馆则通过引导观众在各个房间之间穿行,创造出整体展览的连贯性与完整性。
The exhibition space is limited by the layout of the residential buildings in Nantou Ancient City, with restrictions on area and height. Therefore, corresponding spatial experience strategies have been developed based on the structural and positional characteristics of different exhibition hall buildings. For example, the french window and art installations of Shanhai Tongxiang Branch Museum are used to create a "wonder" in the block, connecting the most dense crowd in the ancient city of Nantou. The Cultural Unity Branch, on the other hand, creates the coherence and completeness of the overall exhibition by guiding the audience through different rooms.

在内容叙事方面,不同分馆通过不同的视角切入,展示了珠江口地区丰富多元的历史文化。例如,山海同貌分馆从生态文明角度叙述珠江口地区的自然地理特点,以及其中的动植物生态系统。而经济同体分馆则从物质文明的角度观察珠江口地区的经济文化特征,围绕海洋农业和海上贸易展开内容叙述。文化同心分馆则从精神文明的角度切入,展示珠江口地区多元融合的生活文化、族群文化和精神文化。
In terms of content narrative, different branch halls show the rich and diverse history and culture of the the Pearl River Estuary through different perspectives. For example, Shanhai Tongxiang Branch describes the natural geographical characteristics of the the Pearl River Estuary area, as well as its animal and plant ecosystems from the perspective of ecological civilization. The Economic Community Branch observed the economic and cultural characteristics of the the Pearl River Estuary from the perspective of material civilization, and carried out content narration around marine agriculture and marine trade. From the perspective of spiritual civilization, the Cultural Tongxin Branch shows the diversified and integrated life culture, ethnic culture and spiritual culture of the the Pearl River Estuary.

在行政同属分馆,通过从政治文明的角度切入,展示了南头地区历史上的行政管理机构及其权力演变。分馆以不同的展厅呈现不同历史时期的管理机构设置和辖区范围,从而建立起观众对南头地区政治历史的全面理解。
Under the jurisdiction of the administrative branch, this exhibition showcases the historical administrative management institutions and their power evolution in the Nantou region from the perspective of political civilization. The branch hall presents the management organization settings and jurisdiction scope of different historical periods through different exhibition halls, thereby establishing a comprehensive understanding of the political history of Nantou area for the audience.
