“紧迫的公共空间”和“集体城市” I 2021年首尔建筑与城市双年展

第三届首尔建筑与城市双年展（SBAU）于2021年9月16日至10月31日举行。继2017年和2019年的两届展览成功举办之后，本届（第三届）首尔建筑与城市双年展的主题为“交叉路口：建设弹性城市”，由法国著名建筑师和城市规划师Dominique Perrault担任总策划。过去两届展览各自有50和85个城市参展，而今年的参展城市则增加至100多个，涵盖了五大洲。

The 3rd Seoul Architecture and Urban Biennale (SBAU) was held from September 16 to October 31, 2021. After two successful exhibitions in 2017 and 2019, the theme of the third Seoul Architecture and Urban Biennale is "Intersections: Building Resilient Cities", with renowned French architect and urban planner Dominique Perrault serving as the overall planner. In the past two exhibitions, 50 and 85 cities participated respectively, while this year's number of participating cities has increased to over 100, covering five continents.

第三届首尔建筑与城市双年展成为疫情背景下首批举办的建筑活动之一，深刻挑战了现代科技文明的运作方式。这些变化势必对我们组织生活空间的方式产生影响，推动我们朝向更为混合、甚至超越传统规划的建筑方向发展。此次危机或许预示着现代建筑中备受争议的“形式服从功能”原则可能走向终结。

The third Seoul Architecture and Urban Biennale has become one of the first architectural events held against the backdrop of the pandemic, profoundly challenging the operation of modern technological civilization. These changes are bound to have an impact on the way we organize our living spaces, driving us towards a more mixed and even beyond traditional planning direction in architecture. This crisis may indicate that the controversial principle of "form obeys function" in modern architecture may come to an end.

本届双年展划分为六个板块，每个板块对应一场展览，并举办相关的活动和会议，以线下或线上的方式进行。

This year's Biennale is divided into six sections, each corresponding to an exhibition, and related activities and conferences are held in both offline and online formats.

本届双年展的主题展和城市展将首次在东大门设计广场（DDP）共同举办。DDP是首尔的标志性建筑，由扎哈·哈迪德事务所设计。主题展和城市展是本届双年展的主要展览。

板块1：主题展：建筑学与基础设施

主题展以“建筑学与基础设施”为题，旨在探讨建筑学与基础设施工程之间的潜在协同作用。这一前所未有的协同关系为21世纪的城市化开辟了新的前景并提供了可能的方向。有效管理陈旧和脆弱的建筑将带来令人兴奋的城市再生机会。在这个过程中，建筑师可以发挥关键性的作用，凭借他们在规划和空间设计方面的专业知识，将原本仅具功能性且封闭于环境的基础设施转变为能够提供广泛用途的建筑。

Module 1: Theme Exhibition: Architecture and Infrastructure

The theme exhibition is titled "Architecture and Infrastructure", aiming to explore the potential synergies between architecture and infrastructure engineering. This unprecedented collaborative relationship has opened up new prospects and provided possible directions for urbanization in the 21st century. Effectively managing old and fragile buildings will bring exciting opportunities for urban regeneration. In this process, architects can play a crucial role by leveraging their expertise in planning and spatial design to transform infrastructure that was originally only functional and enclosed in the environment into buildings that can provide a wide range of uses.

The exhibition showcases the innovative vision of urban production guided by improving the architectural environment through five thematic images, which can be understood as intersections.

板块3：“全球工作室”展

该板块旨在展示来自全球高校的研究项目，参展作品是从世界各地的大学征集方案中挑选而出，并以展馆的形式在PPD进行呈现。这些展品探讨的主题是“避难所”。

Module 3: Exhibition of "Global Studios"

This section aims to showcase research projects from universities around the world. The exhibited works are selected from university solicitation programs around the world and presented in the form of exhibition halls in PPD. The theme of these exhibits is "Shelter".

板块4：“客座城市”展

该展览将在首尔城市与建筑大厅（Seoul HOUR）举行，受邀的城市将在这里展示与本届双年展主题相关的项目和作品。

Module 4: "Guest Cities" Exhibition

The exhibition will be held at Seoul HOUR, where invited cities will showcase projects and works related to the theme of this year's biennial exhibition.

板块5： “首尔”展

该展览同样在首尔城市与建筑大厅举办，主要展示韩国大都会区一些具有创新性的建筑和城市化项目。

Module 5: "Seoul" Exhibition

The exhibition is also held at the Seoul City and Architecture Hall, mainly showcasing innovative architecture and urbanization projects in the South Korean metropolitan area.

板块6： “实验项目”展

该展览的举办场地是Sewoon Plaza，位于DDP和Seoul HOUR两个主要展场之间，这里汇聚了众多实验性的项目，并举办与之相关的公共活动、工作坊和讨论会。以“Suspicious footprint”为主题，现场展示的项目旨在通过探索性的体验将游客带入一场充满想象力的城市旅程。

Module 6: Exhibition of "Experimental Projects"

The venue for this exhibition is Sewon Plaza, located between the two main exhibition venues, DDP and Seoul HOUR. It brings together numerous experimental projects and hosts related public events, workshops, and seminars. The project showcased on site with the theme of "Suspicious footprint" aims to take tourists on an imaginative urban journey through exploratory experiences.
